December: Christmas

More backtracking...Christmas was very fun this year. Caleb understood more what was going on. The few days preceding Christmas were complete torture for him because there were presents under the tree. He would wake up every morning and run out to the tree just to hear me say, "It's not Christmas yet." It was also the first year we had a full-sized Christmas tree (not a big deal to most, but I was extremely excited about it).

Caleb learned to be very careful with the ornaments and was precise with where he placed each one.

We acted out the nativity for family night. It was cheesy and awesome. Caleb was Joseph.

We needed more people to fill the crucial roles, so Monkey was baby Jesus. I was Mary and David was the angel.

Caleb's favorite part of acting out the nativity was bringing presents to baby Jesus. This created a small problem when we were done acting-Caleb wanted the presents for himself and was very disappointed when he was not allowed to open them.

Christmas morning. Caleb had candy and a piggy bank in his stocking. David was excited to start teaching Caleb to save money-it's never to early to start, right? Caleb is pointing to his mouth because he wants to put the chocolate in his mouth immediately.

Opening presents. The crayon set is Caleb's and not mine-this picture may deceive you.

I love all these pictures! I love that you guys already started some cool traditions with your family and did a nativity play for Christmas. Caleb makes such an adorable Joseph. And I think Dave and Nick must have some similarities... that is so funny about the piggy bank... yep, never to young to learn!
