For those of you who did not hear, we had a three day stay in the hospital this weekend with Caleb. He had been sick all week so we took him to the doctor and he tested negative for RSV on Tuesday. Then on Friday he had a temperature of 102 so we took him to the doctor again. They sent us to the lab to get his blood tested and x-rays done to find the cause of the temperature. They called us back with the results and said we needed to go to the hospital. Well he ended up having RSV and a bacteria. They sent us home Monday with some antibiotics and said to come back to the hospital if he needed any treatments. Caleb is doing very well now-he is back to his happy, smiling self. We are very grateful for his quick recovery. Caleb was very tough in the hospital, but we were all glad to be back home with no IV's, needles, tubes, and monitors.

Daddy and Caleb-I am so grateful for both of these men. David was so wonderful...he is always lightening my load by helping in any way that he can. I was very glad to have him with me the whole time we were in the hospital. He was such a strength to me when I felt emotionally and physically exhausted.

Caleb had an IV in his head because they had a hard time finding veins anywhere else because of his beautiful chubs. David said that Caleb looked like a borgue (from star trek) with the IV protruding from his head-a very cute borgue. We found this bandage to use as a beanie on his head to keep the IV in because he kept pulling at it. Caleb is so cute, even when he's sick in the hospital. Of course he cried when the nurses drew his blood or suctioned him, but usually Caleb would give them a smile after they were done and he had calmed down.
We had lots of help and support from friends and family. We had lots of visits, meals, and cleaning done for us. Thank you for your prayers and love. We are very blessed with such thoughtful families that so willingly show their love through service. Thank you.

I'm so glad that Caleb is home and well. We have had a lot of RSV down here at our hospital this year. (I'm a nurse in the Newborn ICU) but I've had to go up to pediatrics a lot this season to help out because they've been so busy with RSV, bronchiolitis, and pneumonia. No fun. I'm glad all is well again for you. Take care
Im glad to hear everything is ok now! Those picture of Caleb with the IV in his head are so sad but cute! Hope everything keeps going well.
Sorry to hear the news but we too are glad to hear everything is OK. If we can be of help let us know.
Hey there, I'm glad to hear the little man is back home. I wish we could come down and see you guys soon. If you need someone to put him to sleep I'll drive down.
