April & May Update

Big events of April and May included:

1. David blessed Olivia-several people said it was one of the most beautiful blessings they had ever heard, I agree. Following the blessing we had a houseful of family over for lunch ( I always forget to take pictures of that part).

2. Easter. We tried to reiterate the real meaning of Easter to Caleb while also doing some of the fun Easter traditions like egg dying. We spent the day in Bountiful with David's family.

3. We went to Arizona for a vacation. Arizona welcomed us with its first 100 degree day of the year (of course it happened the day we went to the zoo). We spent the time being with family and playing outside (most of the pics of the vacation were left in AZ).

4. We bought a new car. My yellow truck from high school served us well, but it was tired and had to be towed away.

5. I had the privilege of attending traffic school with some crazies for the speeding ticket that I got the first time I drove the new car.

6. Caleb and Olivia are two months bigger, wiser, and more mature.

Have I mentioned she is a ridiculously happy and chill baby?

This was the only picture Caleb would take on blessing day. We tried to get him to hold Livvy, or at least sit by her, but alas he is an independent man with a mind of his own.

Livvy and Da.

When Caleb saw the picture of us three, he asked where "Ca" was. I said "Ca" wouldn't take a picture so that's why he's not in it-it's a tricky concept.

Caleb loved dying eggs-we had to check them every other second to see if they were done.

To pass the time he showed off his belly button.

It was fun to be able to really hide the eggs this year and watch Caleb run around and find them. When we were done finding eggs, he kept saying 'one more time.'

Caleb got some sweet shades in his Easter basket.

David and Daniel were given the job of hiding about 300 eggs for the kids to find. When they were done in 5 minutes we wondered how they finished so quickly. Let's just say it didn't take the kids very long to find the eggs.

Caleb carried this Easter egg (the candy was still inside) with him everywhere for about 3 days after Easter because I wouldn't let him eat all the candy at once:). Yes, it really did take him about 3 days to eat all the candy that was in that one egg.

We finally saw some sun when we went to AZ.

Caleb and Livvy on the train.

I stole these pics from Chelsie's blog because they are cute and I didn't have any. Caleb loved playing in the water with his cousin Alyssa.
Caleb and Livvy are starting to interact more, which is fun to watch. Caleb loves making her smile and laugh.

Then she looks for help when it starts to be too rough or too much.
