24th of July

The 24th seems to be more celebrated in Utah than the 4th of July, but I was glad to have David home for an extra day and enjoy the long weekend. On Saturday we enjoyed some 24th festivities at the park and then had a bbq with some family.

There was an antique car show at the park and Caleb was in heaven. Cars and trucks are his absolute favorite thing to play. We had to walk around and touch every car and make a car noise at each stop. He especially loved the fire truck because he was able to get on it.

He was trying to steal the flags that were staked into the ground. Can you tell by his face how hard he is trying to get it out?
Caleb got to play some pioneer games and he even won some prizes. In this picture, we were playing fort inside of the wagon.
The little petting zoo may have been Caleb's favorite part. He especially liked the baby animals, but he didn't even get nervous being so close to the bigger animals. David had to keep reminding him to be soft when he was petting the sheep because sometimes his petting was more like grabbing.

Caleb even got to ride on a pony. It was fun to see Caleb able to participate in the little kid games and events. Our little man is definitely growing up!
