The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is often a target of misrepresentation. Most recently, the writers of the television series Big Love--which airs on HBO--have chosen to depict the LDS temple ceremonies. Such disregard for, what we consider to be sacred ordinances, is not only hurtful but also distorts the truth of what we actually believe. The Church has produced a short video on the purpose of temples and it can be found at the YouTube link provided below.
