Our Little Man

Life is good here in the Campbell home-David and I are both at home right now with Caleb, which has been wonderful. My maternity leave extends through the end of January and then I will be going back to finish the year teaching first grade. David will be staying home during the day with Caleb studying for the GMAT while I am at school. David finished his undergraduate at BYU December 19-we did not really celebrate because we were distracted by the arrival of our baby boy. Caleb keeps us busy even though he just eats, sleeps, and poops. My sister asked what I do all day, thinking that I must be bored. Productivity of my days are definitely measured differently now, but not any less busy. Last semester I would go to work for at least 8 hours, come home and write lesson plans, make dinner, clean up the house, and David and I would even have time for a movie or a game before we were in bed by 11. Now my days seem to be measured by how many times I feed Caleb, how many diapers I change, how many loads of laundry (Caleb goes through a couple outfits a day), if I do the dishes, if I shower and get ready, and if I'm really lucky I will get some of my sub plans done, and then we go to bed at midnight or 3am or whenever Caleb wants to sleep. Yes, my days are spent much differently, but I would not trade them for anything. Sometimes I may be a little crabby because I am running on very little sleep, but I love being home with our beautiful boy. He brings us so much happiness and we already can not imagine our family without Caleb. Here are some more pics of the buddy:

Caleb wants to eat all of the time (when he is awake). David tried to trick him temporarily while I was in the shower. Sometimes I wish David really did produce milk, but I guess a binky will do.

Caleb is already reading scriptures with his daddy. When I came in the room, Caleb was wide awake and very content lying on the bed next to David.
Caleb really likes being in his car seat (not getting into it) and going for rides. He is such a cute little guy!

Hi Aleasha! I was glad to find your blog- your mom was telling me all about your cute little baby when I was in AZ. Congrats!! Don't worry, you WILL reach a point where you can shower and get dressed before noon :)
Anyway, good luck with the babe, they really do grow so fast!
Check out our blog sometime: http://paigeandjaredcordon.blogspot.com

He looks so little in there! We have the same car seat for Luke, I think. I recognize the buckle and straps. It's great to see you're happy and healthy! Recovering from having a baby is a long process, but you're looking great!
